Yes – The Kindle has GPS (mind you, not the real GPS but rather CDMA location based) and even more Easter egg goodness:
- Google Maps, show current location (Alt-1 while in the browser)
- Play Minesweeper (Alt-M)
- Make a screenshot (Alt-Shift-G)
- show time from the home screen (Alt-T)
There are quite a few more hidden treasures that I learned over at Igor Skochinsky’s blog
Here are more GPS shortcuts:
Alt-2 find gas station nearby
Alt-3 find restaurants nearby
Alt-5 find custom keyword nearby
Alt-D dump debug info to the log and toggle highlight default item
Alt-Z toggle zone drawing and show log
There is also a picture viewer and of course a bunch of diagnostic shortcuts as well. Thanks Igor!
